I. Overview

--- type segment type two-phase hybrid stepping motor driver, DC 18 is ~ 50V power supply voltage for driving 24V 50V , current is less than . 4 0A an outer diameter of 42 - 86 mmtwo-phase hybrid stepping motor. The driver is subdivided with an all-digital current loop. The torque ripple of the motor is small, the running at low speed is stable, and the vibration and noise are low. It can output relatively high torque at high speed and has high positioning accuracy. Widely used in engraving machines, CNC machine tools, packaging machinery, transmission equipment and other equipment with high resolution requirements

1, control signal definition

PLS/CW+: Stepping pulse signal input positive terminal or positive stepping pulse signal input positive terminal

PLS/CW-: Stepping pulse signal input negative terminal or positive stepping pulse signal input negative terminal

DIR/CCW+: Step direction signal input positive terminal or reverse stepping pulse signal input positive terminal

DIR/CCW-: Step direction signal input negative terminal or reverse step pulse signal input negative terminal

ENA+: Offline enable reset signal input positive terminal

ENA-: Offline enable reset signal input negative terminal

When the offline enable signal is active, the drive fault is reset, any valid pulses are disabled, the output power component of the drive is turned off, and the motor has no holding torque.

2, control signal connection

The control signal of the host computer can be active high or low. When active high, the negative ends of all control signals are connected together as a signal ground. When low active, the positive ends of all control signals are connected together as a signal common.Now take the open collector and PNP output as an example. The interface circuit is as follows:

Note: When the VCC value is 5V, R is shorted;

When the VCC value is 12V, R is 1K, which is greater than 1/8W resistance;

When the VCC value is 24V, R is 2K, which is greater than 1/8W resistance;

           R must be connected to the signal terminal of the controller .

 

Third, the function selection implemented by the DIP switch on the drive panel )

, set the number of steps per motor

The driver can set the number of steps per revolution of the motor to 400, 500, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3200, 4000, 5000, 6400, 8000, 10000, and 12800 steps, respectively. The user can set the number of steps of the drive through the SW5, SW6, SW7, SW8 bits of the DIP switch on the front panel of the drive (see Table 1):

The DIP switch SW4 can be set to two control modes:

When set to "OFF", there is a semi-flow function.

When set to "ON", there is no semi-flow function.

3, set the output phase current

In order to drive stepping motors with different torques, the user can set the outputphase current (effective value) of the driver by the DIP switches SW1, SW2 and SW3 on the driver panel. The output current corresponding to each switch position, different models of drivers The corresponding output current values are different. See Table 2 for details.


The semi-flow function means that 
after 500 ms without stepping pulse , the output current of the driver is automatically reduced to 70% of the rated output current to prevent the motor from heating up. 4, semi-flow function

 

Fourth, the power interface

1, +V, GND: connect the drive power

+ V: direct flow power level positive, direct voltage supply stream 16 50V The maximum current is 5 A.

GND: direct flow power negative level.

2, A + A- B + B-: connecting two-phase hybrid stepping motor

    The connection between the driver and the two-phase hybrid stepping motor is four-wire. The motor windings are connected in parallel and in series, and the connection method is good. The high-speed performance is good, but the driver current is large 1.73 times themotor winding current . 

The drive current is equal to the motor winding current during series connection.

 

Five, installation

 

There must be 20mm space around, can not be placed next to other heating equipment, to avoid dust, oil mist, corrosive gas, humidity and strong vibration. 

 Six fault diagnosis

 

1, status light indication

UN : Green light, on when working normally.

ERR : Red light, on fault, motor phase-to-phase short circuit, over voltage protection and under voltage protection.
